Values of modern society from the position of stratification approach: comparative analysis

   The article is devoted to a sociological comparative analysis of the values of modern post-industrial society from the perspective of the stratification approach. As studies show, the factors of stratification of modern society are more diverse than those identified by the classical theory of stratification, which is associated with numerous factors complicating society, as well as with the division of values into traditional (national traditions and customs, religion and family values) and secular-rational (self-expression and rationalism).

   The author comes to the conclusion that the factors of differentiation of modern society are quite diverse and are not limited only to material ones, however, material foundations influence the degree and speed of the spread of post-material values.
